The special exhibition "Evening at the Museum: A Journey Through Socialism," hosted by the National Museum of Mongolia, officially opened on the evening of October 9, 2026. Approximately 200 guests—including state and public figures, scholars, researchers, and interested members of the public—attended the opening ceremony. D. Otgonsuren, Director of the National Museum of Mongolia and a Doctor of Cultural Studies, delivered the opening remarks. Greetings and speeches were also given by B. Bat-Erdene, State Secretary of the Ministry of Culture, Sports, Tourism and Youth, and N. Enkhbayar, former President of Mongolia and Chairman of the New Kharkhorum City Council. The "A Journey Through Socialism" exhibition was officially inaugurated with a ribbon-cutting ceremony, and copies of the exhibition catalog were presented to the organizations that supported the project. The opening program created a unique artistic and cultural atmosphere, featuring performances by the Military Song and Dance Academic Ensemble—including a symphony orchestra recital, the song "Laborers," and the dance "Construction"—as well as a theatrical performance by artists from the State Academic Drama Theatre. The "Let's Journey Through Socialism" exhibition is significant for offering the public an opportunity to revisit a pivotal era in Mongolia's history and to gain insight into the social and cultural life and transformations of that time within a museum setting. Through its exhibitions, research, and educational outreach, the museum not only shares historical heritage with the public but also fosters an environment for reflecting on and understanding the historical experiences of past generations. The "Museum at Night – 7 Days" event, organized by the National Museum of Mongolia, aims to make museum services more accessible to the public, promote cultural heritage, and enhance citizens' knowledge of and engagement with history and culture.
