Summary of the Mongolian poster cultural development history

At the beginning of the people’s revolution posters were propagating aim of revolutionary ides and affairs, exposing backwardness of feudal class, for building up new society with people’s government. Poster of that time executed extreme tasks for revolutionary agitation. During thirties predominated posters showing development of industrialization, health care, culture and enlightening branches.  About forties prevailed theme calling up people for patriotic ideas, protecting their country from foreign aggression, reach victory over the war against.  From sixties there were trained painters, line drawing artists who developed posters as professional branch of art retaining traditional drawing special feature taking western methods of drawing national thinking. Mongolian poster branch has been developed from newspaper, journal pictures expanded to street posters of decoration of different festive including shows, play, cinema, advertisement posters.

Today poster art has introduced new technological progress and been expanded for the urgent questions of our country and the world political, social, economical environmental and humanitarian issues. Catalog's poster was collected from the National Museum of Mongolia.

The brief about catalog

This is the main catalog of the National Museum of Mongolia and it is first catalog which was published that meets international standards and it includes the explanation of permanent exhibitions. This catalog contents the Mongolian rich history throughout the all period of History, and it provides the wide information to the public and scholars. For instance: each part of the catalog includes a big source of the research, hand drawings of the archeological items, historical photos and paintings. And it provides good information and nice color photos of the Museum best collections   and Best exhibitions and it is written in Mongolian and English both. This catalog consists of the museum precious objects from 10 Museum Halls. The size is 290x210 and paper is A4 and consists of page 216. In catalog have historical color photos of 100 items, the photos of the object about 500 items.

Information of the Museum

Magazine of the professional, method and information of the National Museum of Mongolia. ISBN: 978-99929-1-499-8

The Magazine of “Museum International Day” contains good information for museum professional and workers. It gives advice about job descriptions and how to display the ethnic items, about ICOM information. Also the interview of the director of National Committee in Mongolia D.Tsedmaa was written in the journal and it gives us much other information.   On this magazine for the purpose to promote of the Mongolian museums opening information corner it consists title of “let’s produce the museums”, and about “Heritage of the Chinggis khan” private museum, and planning a new to open “the mother museum” interview. Also there are new titles which was named “Window” and “Break” will be written stable. The” Window” corner provides readers news about culture, art organizations and about to improve to the worker skills, the program of the foreign and domestic foundation information and the University of the Museum Stadium.

  1. THE EMBROIDERY OF MONGOLIAN WOMAN:    01 Oct to 19 / 2010 NMM


This exhibition propose is to delivery for public and displayed the Mongolian traditional costume collection which is included over 20 ethnic groups from Mongolia, Turkish, how to make of the traditional clothes, equipment and feature of this embroidery.  On this exhibition there were displayed the winter and summer traditional costume of man and woman of the Khalkha, Buriad, Zakhchin, Ujemchin, snuff bottle of pouch, cup pouch and personality of the society and policy and many other items.     
 

2. THE SPECIAL EXHIBITION A NEW OBJECTS:               20-31 Oct, 2010.          

This exhibition will consist of archeological new artifacts and bought new collections in last 3 years which are discovered by archeologist of the National Museum of Mongolia with the domestic and foreign organizations.

          3. THE POSTERS OF MODERN MONGOLIA:  DEC 2010

The posters are to express for the source of modern history of Mongolia. We are preparing to display a new exhibition which the treasury collection of posters which are kept in the Museum foundation. 

         4.  MONGOLIAN STATE STAMP AND FLAG:        29 Dec. 2010

Our museum is going to be display the exhibition to delivery for the public of treasury collections. It’s proposes are for the Mongolian history of policy, their symbol items, signification of historical reform. This exhibition will be organized just before the New Year and it will be the one of the works which is dedicated 100 anniversary of establishment Bogd khan state in 2011.

Visitors may enter up to 1 hour before closing time

16th September–14th May:   Tuesday-Saturday 9.30- 5.30  

The Museum closes
